POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will assist the Registered Nurse in executing COVID-19 related responsibilities as designated by the school nurse. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting triage with students and staff, performing contact tracing, liaising with local health authorities, communicating with parents and students, and maintaining COVID-19 documentation and tracking systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute health plans under the guidance and oversight of the Registered Nurse (RN). Provide updates to the RN regarding student progress.
- Administer prescribed medications as instructed by the RN in accordance with local regulations. Report any student reactions or concerns to the school nurse.
- Adhere to established protocols to care for students experiencing illness or injury.
- Inform the school nurse of any incidents that occur.
- Carry out assigned procedures in compliance with policy under the RN's supervision.
- Conduct student screenings as per policy, if properly trained.
- Support the RN in training staff members.

- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Student Information Systems (SIS).
- Familiarity with company and departmental policies and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations applicable to K-12 educational institutions and charter school laws is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- 1-3 years of successful experience as a nursing assistant.
- Current LPN license in good standing.
- Any alternative qualifications deemed appropriate and acceptable by EduServe LLC.
While fulfilling the responsibilities of this role, the work environment characteristics listed below are representative of what the employee may encounter:
- Typical office working conditions.
- No significant physical exertion required.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Light work: Occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force, and/or frequently exerting up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
Compensation and benefits will be provided in accordance with EduServe LLC's salary and benefits policy. The duration of the work year and hours of employment will be determined by the company.
FLSA OVERTIME CLASSIFICATION
Non-Exempt (hourly)
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Employee performance will be assessed in alignment with EduServe LLC's evaluation policy.
