Job Overview

Position Title: Sales Clerk

Salary: $15.00/hour

Work Schedule: Full Time

Location: Portsmouth, VA – Exchange

Key Responsibilities:

As a Sales Clerk, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting customers and providing assistance in selecting products.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Processing sales transactions accurately using cash registers and handling various payment methods.
  • Maintaining an organized and visually appealing merchandise display.
  • Conducting periodic inventory checks and assisting in stock replenishment.
  • Implementing promotional displays and ensuring proper signage for products.
  • Adhering to loss prevention policies and maintaining awareness of potential shrinkage.
  • Following established safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Being available to work on weekends as required.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Ability to assist customers and operate a cash register, demonstrated through relevant educational background.
  2. Physical capability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering.
