Job Title: Dietetic Technician Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dietetic Technician Supervisor to join our Nutritional Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for formulating standard and individualized diets, supervising patient tray service, and overseeing the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily patient rounds and document patient information in medical records according to established procedures.
  • Monitor patient appetite, weight, and lab values and inform the therapeutic Dietitian of any changes in patient orders.
  • Review returned patient menus daily for diet changes and write-ins.
  • Record calories and sodium intake, diabetic exchanges, type of diet, diet prescriptions, and patient diet changes.
  • Ensure the opening and closing of the Cafeteria and kitchen are completed efficiently.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of supervisor experience as a Dietetic Technician or similar position is necessary.
Attributes:
  • Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietetics principles is required.
Work Environment:
  • The position requires medium work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is required.
