Clinical Opportunity Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology at a university-affiliated teaching facility in metropolitan Phoenix is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologist for a Full time clinical position. This state-designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and ABA-verified Burn Center offers a dynamic environment for both clinical practice and teaching, with opportunities for academic appointment.

Clinical Practice

Manage anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries, including Labor & Delivery, Neonatal and general pediatric surgery, general surgery, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastic surgery, burn treatment, level 1 trauma, orthopedics, podiatric surgery, and special procedures outside the OR. Approximately 11,000 anesthesia encounters per year.

Key Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for high-acuity adult and pediatric patients. Supervise and teach residents in emergency medicine and surgery, CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume, high-complexity setting. Requirements include Board Certification/Eligibility in Anesthesiology, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Additionally, an interest in academic medicine and teaching is desired.
