Clinical Opportunity Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology at a university-affiliated teaching facility in metropolitan Phoenix is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologist for a Full time clinical position. This state-designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and ABA-verified Burn Center offers a dynamic environment for both clinical practice and teaching, with opportunities for academic appointment.

Clinical Practice

Manage anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries, including Labor & Delivery, Neonatal and general pediatric surgery, general surgery, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastic surgery, burn treatment, level 1 trauma, orthopedics, podiatric surgery, and special procedures outside the OR. Approximately 11,000 anesthesia encounters per year.

Key Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for high-acuity adult and pediatric patients. Supervise and teach residents in emergency medicine and surgery, CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume, high-complexity setting. Requirements include Board Certification/Eligibility in Anesthesiology, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Additionally, an interest in academic medicine and teaching is desired. This opportunity allows for the application of clinical excellence and education in one of the most advanced trauma centers in Arizona.
