Music Educator

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Music Teacher to join our team at the Meskwaki Settlement School. As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive music education to students in grades K-5.

• Develop and implement a music curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to promote musical growth and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into the broader curriculum and promote a culture of music appreciation.
• Supervise and mentor students in out-of-classroom music activities, such as concerts and performances.
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in music education and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification and/or licensure.
• Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Master's degree in Music Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching music in a K-12 setting.
• Fluency in a second language.
