Job Summary:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer- Gearing provides technical leadership and expertise to the gear manufacturing operations and inspection teams, ensuring quality standards for gears and splines are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance in Gear Manufacturing and Inspection
  • Design hobs, cutters, and grinding wheels
  • Analyze engineering drawings, solid models, and quality standards to determine program requirements
  • Develop new and improved manufacturing methods
  • Create and maintain NC programs for machine tools
  • Maintain a catalogue of gear hobs, cutters, and grinding wheels
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and carry out improvement actions
  • Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure capability of meeting part requirements
  • Lead projects to upgrade, replace, and procure new equipment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) preferred
  • Minimum 10-15 years of gear manufacturing experience required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and UTS Software
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with the engineering team and other manufacturing departments

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
