Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

Description:

  • Urban Peak is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality clinical services to youth experiencing homelessness.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with at-risk youth, a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, and excellent communication skills.
  • We offer a competitive salary range of $34.62 - $34.62 per hour, plus benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring comprehensive and client-centered care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including case managers, educators, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conduct assessments, screenings, and crisis interventions as needed, prioritizing the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Document all interactions, treatments, and outcomes, maintaining accurate records and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current on best practices.
  • Engage with the community, representing Urban Peak and promoting our mission through outreach, education, and advocacy efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working with at-risk youth, preferably in a homeless or residential setting.
  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and practice management software, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and prioritize the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
