About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our Municipal Team in Potsdam, NY. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of project managers, design professionals, and technical support staff working with public sector clients and projects throughout New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage projects with clients, overseeing project design and construction while interfacing with clients.
  • Manage project design, interacting with less experienced staff, training, and mentoring them.
  • Develop professional services proposals, manage projects and clients, and participate in public presentations and engagement processes.
  • Collaborate with clients, project teams, and colleagues to deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • 15-20 years of practical experience in a professional consulting environment.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in New York is required.
  • Experience in civil/environmental engineering, with a focus on municipal/public works engineering and water resources infrastructure.
  • Effective communication skills, including oral, graphic, and written forms.
  • Ability to manage workload and budgets, as well as travel to project sites and work remotely as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public sector funding experience, including NYSEFC, NYSDEC, and WIIA.
  • Grant writing and administration experience is a plus, but not required.
