Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist with CHRISTUS Health, you will play a vital role in the pulmonary care of critically ill patients. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patient needs and developing respiratory care plans. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Participate in Code Blue and White emergency responses
Manage airways, including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
Deliver aerosolized medications
Set up and operate ventilators
Perform oral hygiene and airway retaining device placement and maintenance
Manage airway support devices, including BiPAP and CPAP
Monitor oxygen delivery devices and therapeutic levels
Analyze chest films and blood gas collections
Participate in CAP and JC surveys

Requirements:

RT or RCP License in state of employment
1-3 years of experience preferred
BLS required
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
