Job SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner is a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, responsible for implementing and delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong clinical background in internal medicine or family practice, with a focus on providing comprehensive primary care services.
Responsibilities- Provides patient-centered, comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Participates in the selection of suitable treatment plans for all patients, in collaboration with the care team.
- Supervises staff to ensure the care team is providing appropriate care in accordance with their duties and obligations.
- Assists other care providers and extended care teams, providing continuous availability for medical and technical questions.
- Actively participates in quality improvement programs and multidisciplinary quality assurance programs.
- Collaborates with the management team to ensure improvement of patient care and compliance with policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy or inhalation therapy.
- May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in internal medicine or family practice.
- Board Certified.
- Licensed to practice in the appropriate state.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Proficient in promoting the clinic and strong communication skills.
- Patient communication skills and physical job requirements, including standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.
