Student Ambassador

UnityPoint Health - Allen College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to serve as a Rural Peer Mentor. This role is an excellent opportunity for a student who is passionate about supporting their peers and contributing to the success of rural students.

• Provide peer support and guidance to incoming and current rural students, helping them navigate the transition to college and beyond.
  
• Assist with on- and off-campus recruitment events, sharing personal experiences and promoting the benefits of attending Allen College.
  
• Meet with students individually to discuss their concerns and provide support, while also promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  
• Work closely with the Community Outreach Coordinator to develop and implement strategies for engaging with rural students and promoting college access.
  
• Represent UnityPoint Health - Allen College at various events and activities, serving as a positive ambassador for the organization.
  

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at Allen College, with a strong academic record and a commitment to academic success.
  
• Graduated from a rural high school in the state of Iowa, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by rural students.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
  
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to excellence.
