We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front of House Lead to join our team at et al. located in Kahala Mkt. by Foodland. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for upholding all Standard Operating Procedures and Sequence of Service standards while providing exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise restaurant operations and ensure seamless service delivery in the absence of the location Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Continuously follow through with programs determined by management to increase sales and drive business growth.
- Monitor guests to ensure a welcoming and responsive experience, with a focus on providing gracious service at all times.
- Assist with handling comps and voids in NCR for the staff, and provide positive reinforcement to all employees.
- Address and diffuse all guests' issues and concerns, and conduct table touches and check backs with all guests.
- Assess business volume and make labor cuts when necessary, eliminating/minimizing overtime and ensuring efficient operations.
- Follow proper procedures for daily invoice review and logging, price review, ordering/receiving of both products & invoices, tracking waste and spoilage, and maintaining par levels.
- When ordering, maintain proper par levels for all controllable cost items, and ensure all employees have proper supplies and uniforms.
- Communicate with Chef and Restaurant Manager regarding food quality and service levels, and assist with duties such as ordering of product, inventory, adjusting schedule changes, and related responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures, and conduct thorough pre-shift meetings on every shift.
- Log communication of daily activity in Managers' Log, and follow proper cash handling procedures, including cash-outs, counting banks, counting safe, and completing change orders.
- Assist with conducting inventory and weekly ordering, and monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws.
- Uphold Foodland's company core values and culture through leading by example, and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and NCR Silver Pro.

- Willingness to be open, to learn, and take on new responsibilities.
- Regular, predictable attendance.
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
The physical demands of this role include sitting at a desk or table working on a computer, and walking. Vision, hearing, speech, and literacy are critical. Lifting, pushing, pulling, or bending, kneeling, and continuously standing are also required. Using chemical agents or wearing protective clothing may be necessary.
