Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Sonic Healthcare in Aiea Heights, HI. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a vital role in the patient care process by examining prepared slides with a microscope to detect evidence of abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-complexity testing and report results accurately and efficiently
  • Use diagnostic codes to report negative cases and refer abnormal cases to pathologists for review
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed on a daily basis
  • Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and champion safety, compliance, and quality control
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of cytology
  • At least one year of laboratory training or experience performing high-complexity testing
  • Cytotechnologist certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to operate general laboratory equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years of laboratory training or experience
