About the Job
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Claims team as a Risk Management Director, where you will play a key role in investigating, evaluating, and disposing of new and existing third-party property and casualty claims. As a seasoned professional, you will be required to review coverage under Excess Commercial General liability and auto policies, participate in claim investigations, and control litigation strategy. Your expertise will be put to the test in handling multi-million dollar claims, including multi-vehicle auto accidents, plant explosions, class action injury claims, and catastrophic product liability claims. You will need to assess liability and damages, recommend reserves, and present large-value cases to senior management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential for success in this role.

Main Responsibilities
* Determine the scope and extent of available coverage
* Investigate, evaluate, and dispose of new and existing third-party property and casualty claims
* Prepare and execute investigation strategies that identify critical issues affecting liability, causation, and damages
* Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, including insureds, brokers, and underwriters, to provide guidance and manage expectations
* Properly document exposure evaluation and resolution strategy
* Present claim disposition recommendations to senior management

What You'll Need to Succeed
* 5+ years of commercial/industry claims experience preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills
* Advanced experience and capabilities in litigation claims management, including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and mediation processes
* Property and Casualty licenses required, must be obtained within 6 months

Benefits and Compensation
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $104,800-$131,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will be eligible for a bonus based on performance.
