The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the preventive maintenance schedules and implementing predictive maintenance strategies. Key responsibilities include managing parts procurement, ensuring machinery operational efficiency, minimizing scheduled downtime, and collaborating with the operations team to reduce waste while upholding the plant's exemplary safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on all machinery to guarantee safe and effective operation.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment to identify and address any immediate issues.
- Authorize all installation and repair tasks carried out by the maintenance team.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of ten years of experience in maintenance within the injection molding sector. A comprehensive understanding of injection molding machinery, assembly processes, auxiliary systems, and automation technologies is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as basic computer proficiency, are required. Familiarity with Maximo or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
Essential Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and guidelines by maintenance personnel.
- Oversee the maintenance of the facility and its equipment through a structured preventive maintenance program.
- Manage the monthly budget and address any financial discrepancies.
- Identify and propose cost-saving initiatives to senior management.
- Maintain an orderly and efficient maintenance workshop.
- Supervise training programs for the maintenance department.
- Oversee all mechanical and electrical systems within the plant, engaging in hands-on work and training for a small to medium-sized maintenance team.
- Schedule preventive maintenance tasks and assign work orders using the CMMS.
- Lead the safety committee to promote a culture of safety.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and analyze equipment performance data to develop actionable plans.
- Manage the maintenance department's budget effectively.
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment, parts, and electrical services.
