Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist - RCIS at Norman Regional Health System
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist - Cardiovascular Program to join our team. As a Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist - RCIS, you will play a vital role in supporting cardiovascular procedures by preparing equipment and providing patient care while maintaining a sterile environment.
In this role, you will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will also serve as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in their orientation and training. Your strong professional working relationship with physicians and leadership will be crucial in facilitating excellent patient care.
Responsibilities include preparing equipment before and during procedures, identifying and assessing patient condition, and establishing and maintaining a sterile environment. You will also use downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in radiologic technology, including knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, and imaging modalities. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications include completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology, eligibility for American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration, and/or current registration as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required prior to providing patient care, and ACLS training must be achieved within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
