About the Role

Kettering Health is a leading healthcare provider in southwest Ohio, committed to delivering high-quality care to our patients. We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care before, during, and after surgery, ensuring a safe and efficient operation.
  • Assist the surgeon and nursing staff with patient procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Participate in preceptor activities and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Two years of college and/or completion of a specialty course for surgical assisting.
  • Pass a pre-hire employment test.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in general and/or specialty area, with orthopedic and neuro experience preferred.
  • Certified First Assistant (CFA) or equivalent certification.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment, prioritize tasks, and function in high-stress situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a Surgical Technologist or in a related field.
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures in multiple specialties.
  • Ability to operate specialized equipment used in the OR.
