Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our team at Mauna Lani, a luxury lifestyle resort. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite coffee experiences for our guests, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail in every cup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests in a prompt and courteous manner, explaining available items and taking orders with accuracy.
  • Order Management: Record orders, input them into the Point of Sale system, and communicate with the kitchen/bar to ensure timely preparation.
  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare beverages to accuracy, using proper utensils and techniques.
  • Food Service: Assist with collecting and situating food orders from the kitchen.
  • Cash Handling: Process cash, credit card, and charge sales for all retail and food and beverage orders.
  • Station Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including wiping and sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with monthly inventory of retail items, liquor, and beverages.
Requirements
  • Education: Any combination of education that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a barista preferred.
  • Skills: Superior professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
  • Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications, such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications, as applicable to the position.
