Job Summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a highly skilled Drinking Water Technical Manager to join our California team. As a key member of our water engineering services team, you will be responsible for leading multi-disciplined project teams from planning and conceptual design through final design, construction, start-up, and facilities operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical lead for all sizes of projects, providing expertise in the evaluation, planning, design, and construction of drinking water systems.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to lead the technical delivery of project tasks, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Determine the overall technical approach for projects, taking into account local and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and training programs to internal and external clients and professional associations, showcasing your expertise and knowledge.
  • Provide input on the development of Woodard & Curran design guidelines and standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in our work.
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of engineering experience, with a strong background in civil and/or environmental engineering.
  • A B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or an M.S. Degree is preferred, with a focus on water resources and treatment systems.
  • Registered Professional Engineer, with a strong understanding of state and EPA regulations regarding water treatment and distribution systems.
  • Knowledgeable in state bidding laws and funding programs, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Up-to-date on the latest advances in technology, regulatory trends, equipment, and processes, with a commitment to staying current in the field.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this role is $135,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, and education. This role has the option for remote work, and the company is open to negotiating a salary that reflects the candidate's qualifications and experience.
