We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specialized duties related to the activities and operations of the federally funded Title III AANAPISI grant and providing complex analytical support.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct specialized data collection and analyses related to program participation and evaluation, including customized reports that disaggregate program results.
- Work closely with AANAPISI PIs to inform ongoing feedback loop for program improvement for UML with the goal to positively affect processes system wide.
- Support the ongoing development of the DAIR data warehouse (dataUML) including testing, maintenance of DAIR reporting documents and source data, and documenting methodologies employed, and data sources utilized.
- Develop Tableau dashboards for internal and user-facing self-service data needs.
- Bachelor's degree in the social sciences, computer science, business or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated responsibility and professional experience in computer programming, data extraction, reporting and analysis with a minimum of two years of experience with working with descriptive statistics, large data sets, and quantitative research methods.
- Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Demonstrated experience with statistical software (SPSS, SAS preferred), SQL and Tableau.
- Extremely high attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to learn data values and interrelationships in a comprehensive enterprise information system and apply them in a range of specific contexts and reports.
- Demonstrated experience with statistical, research and evaluation methods and conducting original research adhering to social scientific best practices and ethics.
- Demonstrated record of successful collaboration with administrative partners.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Experience in a college/university or other institutional setting performing management reporting and equity data-driven analysis preferred.
- Applicants who possess the knowledge, skills, and life experiences to address the cultural and educational needs of a culturally diverse student population are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of ETL process and design/data modeling.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize a high volume of work under tight deadlines, and handle highly sensitive/confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal, organization and time management skills, including judgment and accuracy.
This is a Grants & Contracts (MTA/GRACE) bargaining unit position, Grade P19. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled; however, the posting may close when an adequate number of qualified applications is received. This position is contingent upon funding. This is a grant-funded, temporary, full time, benefited position. Position funding timeframe is 2024-2028. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.
