Automotive Integration Engineer

V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer Specialist for our esteemed client in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Education and Experience »Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.At least 3 years of relevant experience in the automotive sector.Preferred:Master's degree in Engineering or similar qualifications.Experience collaborating with client development teams.Familiarity with the client development process (PEP).Project management experience.Experience conducting test drives.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »Fluency in German and English – both verbal and written.Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.Exceptional communication skills – interpersonal, presentation, and written.Proficient in computer applications (MS-Office).Ability to integrate people, processes, or systems effectively.Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.Resource management skills.Self-motivated and proactive.Ability to think broadly and strategically.Experience working in cross-functional teams.Team leadership skills.Effective time management abilities.Strong administrative skills: capable of planning, structuring, and prioritizing tasks.Technical quality evaluation skills.Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis.Monitoring project-specific product and vehicle structures, as well as testing new configurations.Ability to trace documentation errors.Leadership experience with technician teams.Ability to escalate critical issues.Specialized Skills:In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly regarding the international collaboration of project participants for Vehicle Integration activities.Engineering support in the development of Production Reference Vehicle Integration and ensuring updates.Regular reporting on Vehicle Integration, especially to R&D departments.Interface management with Development Departments, Vehicle Integration Department, and other departments such as Production, Quality, and Product Management.Understanding of test drive protocols.Tracking critical customer complaints.Conducting ongoing production checks in close collaboration with Development Departments.Specialized automotive knowledge.Capability to train new local personnel.WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:Oversee the Vehicle Integration Department.Ensure project status transparency and provide updates for committees and reviews.Coordinate the validation of experimental vehicles for Vehicle Integration.Generate job splits in collaboration with development partners, addressing general and Vehicle Integration demands, testing issues, and complexity of analysis and approval.Ensure compliance with project budgets.Make decisions regarding requests, escalation needs, and prioritization for the Vehicle Integration section.Synchronize information from the Vehicle Integration section with committees.Knowledge of top appraisals and failures.Represent the vehicle project in committees, including representation in Germany.Act as the Type tutor during drives and in committees, providing approval recommendations for Vehicle Integration components.Provide statements regarding vehicle status.Share relevant project information with Vehicle Integration participants.Offer insights regarding technical aspects and project status.Harmonize Vehicle Integration project status.Provide and share all relevant information with the Type tutor.If necessary, represent the Type tutor in supporting duties.V-Soft Consulting Group is recognized among the top 100 fastest growing staffing companies in North America, headquartered in Louisville, KY, with strategic locations in India, Canada, and the U.S. V-Soft is known for its agility and innovation in technology services, holding several awards and distinctions, and has a wide variety of partnerships across diverse technology stacks.
