About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Optics Researcher to join our team at the University of Central Florida's College of Optics and Photonics. The successful candidate will have a strong background in optics and photonics research, with a focus on space applications.

Job Description

The researcher will be responsible for establishing a top-quality research program, teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, and contributing to service in the institution and profession. We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in optics or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Applicants should demonstrate strong research experience with a high record of scholarly publications. Additionally, we prefer candidates with demonstrated experience in photonic instrumentation and research, particularly related to space applications and a high record of funding.
