Position Overview:
As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the operating room, assisting in various tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the sterile field and performing essential scrub functions.
- Assisting in draping the patient and ensuring the surgical team is properly attired.
- Collecting and labeling specimens for further analysis.

- A proactive and empathetic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up the sterile field, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Collaborate with the RN to count surgical instruments and materials at designated times.
- Assist in patient draping and support the surgical team with gowning and gloving.
- Maintain aseptic conditions throughout the procedure and participate in safety protocols.
- Handle specimens appropriately and assist in various outpatient settings as needed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent qualifications.
- Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Work Environment:
This role requires the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. The position demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift and maneuver patients and equipment.
