  • Stocking and Inventory: Ensure the availability of all necessary ingredients, supplies, and equipment by overseeing inventory levels and communicating with the kitchen manager or managing partner.
  • Station Set-up: Set up workstations with necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment to facilitate smooth and efficient food preparation.
  • Food Storage and Organization: Properly store food items in designated areas, adhering to food safety guidelines to maintain freshness and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen by regularly cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Coordinate and communicate with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.
  • Quality Control: Assist in quality control by inspecting food items for freshness, taste, and presentation before they are served to customers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of kitchen equipment and adherence to fire safety measures.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not always required.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a restaurant setting.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Food Handlers Certification required.
