Candidates with 1-3 years of litigation experience and a strong interest in real estate are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities: As the In-House Counsel, you will support the General Counsel in various legal matters. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting legal research on diverse topics such as real estate, employment disputes, and habitability issues.
  • Managing the Unlawful Detainer docket, engaging in discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Representing the company in motion hearings, ex-parte hearings, and trials.
  • Facilitating pre-litigation dispute resolution processes.
  • Reviewing and revising corporate documents, including lease agreements and property management contracts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in the California Bar.
  • 1-3 years of experience in litigation and trial preparation.
  • 1-3 years of experience in discovery processes, including written discovery, depositions, and third-party subpoenas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Unlawful Detainer trials is highly advantageous.
