About the Organization: Talently Recruiting represents a reputable real estate investment and property management firm. Our extensive portfolio in Southern California encompasses multifamily residences, office spaces, and hospitality properties. Candidates with 1-3 years of litigation experience and a strong interest in real estate are encouraged to consider this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities: As the In-House Counsel, you will support the General Counsel in various legal matters. Your duties will include:
- Conducting legal research on diverse topics such as real estate, employment disputes, and habitability issues.
- Managing the Unlawful Detainer docket, engaging in discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Representing the company in motion hearings, ex-parte hearings, and trials.
- Facilitating pre-litigation dispute resolution processes.
- Reviewing and revising corporate documents, including lease agreements and property management contracts.
Essential Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in the California Bar.
- 1-3 years of experience in litigation and trial preparation.
- 1-3 years of experience in discovery processes, including written discovery, depositions, and third-party subpoenas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Unlawful Detainer trials is highly advantageous.
