About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Creator to join our National Online News team at Sinclair Broadcast Group. This role will be responsible for producing high-quality national content for our network of news sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and publish engaging news articles, stories, and multimedia content for our online platforms.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current events and trending topics to ensure relevant and timely content.
  • Edit and curate wire service content, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Research and write original stories, often working under tight deadlines.
  • Produce and edit multimedia elements, including video and social media content.
  • Monitor analytics to measure performance and adjust content strategy accordingly.
  • Manage remote and streaming feeds on our station's websites and social media accounts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in online journalism is required.
  • Excellent writing skills and AP style expertise are essential.
  • A strong understanding of content usage rights management and restrictions is necessary.
  • Proficiency in editing software such as Premiere, Adobe Cloud, and other relevant tools is expected.
  • Experience with YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are vital for success in this role.
