Position Overview

The Special Education Instructor, under the guidance of the Principal, is responsible for delivering a thorough educational program tailored for students with educational challenges. This role involves maintaining precise and comprehensive records for each student and regularly evaluating their academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with Mild/Moderate disabilities.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Monitor and assess student performance, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth.

Qualifications

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• Must hold (or be eligible for) a California credential that permits the teaching of Special Education in a setting for students with Mild/Moderate disabilities.

Experience:

• Prior teaching experience or successful completion of a student teaching program is preferred.

• Candidates must obtain fingerprint clearance from both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice, along with a physical clearance, as a condition of employment.
