Job Summary:
We're seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing high-quality healthcare services to inmates/detainees. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll work closely with our Registered Nurse to develop nursing care plans, perform physical assessments, and provide medical care within your scope of practice. You'll also be responsible for administering medications, documenting patient interactions, and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.

Responsibilities:
Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the Registered Nurse
Perform complete physical assessments and medical histories
Provide nursing care within your capacity and refer other medical problems to the appropriate physician
Administer prescribed medications as instructed
Evaluate patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress, and report problems to management
Securely administer medication, taking precautions against drug hoarding and trafficking
Follow industry and company accreditation policies
Document all detainee/inmate contacts and keep medical records confidential

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state the facility is located
Two (2) years of direct work experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred
Ability to work without direct, immediate supervision in performing nursing diagnosis and providing appropriate follow-through treatment
Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department
Must be a United States citizen
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
Must be willing to undergo a rigorous background investigation as required by U.S. Marshals
