Job Title: Food Scientist

The Atrium Staffing team is seeking a skilled Food Scientist to support the growth of our client, a renowned food manufacturer specializing in dairy products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy products, flavors, ingredients, chemistry, shelf life, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical expertise and support to customers and various business functions.
  • Lead or participate in scale-up and commercialization efforts at remote sites as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory and pilot plant cleanliness.
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions and product evaluations.
  • Document research and development efforts, preparing and submitting reports while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Lead related application work, including analytical assessments, shelf life studies, and sensory evaluations.
  • Provide product samples for cross-functional assessments and customer testing.
  • Investigate innovative and alternative ingredients and technologies within assigned areas.
  • Oversee designated projects focused on ingredient testing and product-process development, from initial concept through to scale-up.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Food Scientist.
  • Background in dairy products and cheese.
  • Strong experience in R&D.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
