Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Software Specialist to join our team at the VA Department of Transportation. As a key member of our Design Technology group, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in digital engineering software, ensuring seamless integration and operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support for digital engineering software, troubleshooting and resolving issues encountered by end-users.
  • Assist with software installation, configuration, and optimization, maintaining and updating software documentation and user guides.
  • Test and validate software updates before deployment, assessing the impact of patches or upgrades on existing workflows.
  • Monitor system performance and address potential issues proactively, implementing solutions to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Collaborate with software developers and users to ensure updates meet operational needs, working closely with management on innovative projects and work programs.
  • Manage and document technical support requests within the helpdesk system, creating, tracking, and updating support tickets.
  • Provide user setup and project setup for ProjectWise, managing user permissions and support Bentley CONNECT Services.
  • Develop and implement training programs, creating training videos, presentations, and other educational resources.
Requirements
  • Experience in digital engineering software, CADD software programs, and related administrative processes.
  • Ability to investigate, analyze, and test online documents, conduct research analysis, and reflect knowledge of Web Development practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience in developing and customizing digital engineering software solutions.
  • Skilled in managing and coordinating with a diverse range of teams to ensure successful program implementation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading cross-functional projects and ensuring alignment between different teams and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and maintain effective project timelines while upholding quality standards.
  • Experience in developing, testing, and maintaining PowerShell scripts to streamline processes, enhance system performance, and support software deployments.
