Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse to join our team at CHI St. Anthony Hospital. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to the success of our practice by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
- Obtaining patient consent for care and ensuring patient confidentiality.
- Documenting health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors, and assessing disease condition.
- Providing patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
- Executing prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administering prescribed medications, and monitoring and documenting treatment progress and patient response.
- Educating patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Participating in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
- Tracking quality assurance data and monitoring for acute and chronic care management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- One year of experience in a clinic or acute hospital setting.
- Current Oregon State Nursing Assistant Certification.
- Current AHA BLS or ACLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
