Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in a per diem retail pharmacy role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient workflow of our retail pharmacy, maintaining accurate patient profiles, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate filling of prescriptions, including maintenance of patient profiles.
  • Adjudicate prescriptions and address rejections in a timely manner.
  • Order medications and supplies through approved vendors and maintain inventory levels.
  • Check prescriptions accurately and make corrections to patient profiles as necessary.
  • Review patient profiles to ensure appropriate therapy based on patient-specific information.
  • Transcribe medication orders accurately and timely, verifying therapy, medication, route, dose, and frequency.
  • Dispense medications, prescriptions, and miscellaneous items accurately and promptly.
  • Provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Current active registration and licensure with the State of New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.
  • Previous retail pharmacy experience (2+ years) preferred.
