Key Responsibilities

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a leading professional services consulting firm, is seeking a junior civil engineering associate to become part of our aviation division. The role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Developing detailed plans and specifications for various airport design initiatives.
  • Conducting analyses and preparing comprehensive engineering reports and construction cost assessments.
  • Performing drafting duties utilizing AutoCAD and Civil3D to create plan sheets.
  • Assisting with construction administration tasks, which may involve fieldwork at project sites during weekends and evenings as necessary.
  • Interpreting FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data to inform project designs.

A valid driver's license and occasional travel will be necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited institution or be on track to obtain the degree shortly after joining.

Preferred qualifications include experience with:

  • AutoCAD and/or Civil3D software applications.
  • Public speaking and client interaction.
  • Civil/transportation design coursework.
  • Construction field activities such as site grading, utilities, drainage, erosion control, paving, materials testing, and/or surveying.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project software.
