Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Financial Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for processing patient payments made in-person, online, and through insurance companies, as well as third-party payments. Your primary goal will be to accurately post payments and adjustments, identify undistributed payments and credit balances, and document all activities in the patient account.

This role plays a crucial part in supporting the overall financial health of the organization by ensuring payments are properly applied to accounts and identifying and reconciling variances in a timely manner. Your expertise in financial claims processing will enable you to make a significant impact on our organization's financial well-being.

Estimated Salary Range: $17.95 - $25.13 per hour. Starting wage is dependent on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year or more of customer service experience.

Preferred Experience

We welcome candidates with:

  • 1-2 years of experience in billing or clerical work.
  • 1-2 years of experience in payment posting and reconciliation.
  • Experience using EPIC software system.
  • Knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement.
