Position Overview

TLC Nursing is currently seeking a skilled travel nurse RN specializing in OB/GYN for an exciting opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

The OB Nurse plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive care to obstetric patients throughout various stages, including pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessment: Evaluating the physical, emotional, and educational needs of obstetric patients.
  • Support: Providing care and assistance during labor and delivery.
  • Medication Administration: Administering medications and monitoring vital signs as necessary.
  • Surgical Assistance: Aiding in cesarean sections and other surgical interventions.
  • Patient Education: Informing patients and their families about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care.
  • Collaboration: Working alongside other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans.
  • Documentation: Accurately recording patient care in medical records.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensuring a safe and clean atmosphere in the obstetric unit.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Current RN license
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in OB nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Capability to perform well under pressure and in high-stress situations
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications

The OB Nurse is an integral member of the healthcare team, significantly contributing to the health and well-being of mothers and their newborns. This is a contracted travel position.
