Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Cook to join our home-delivered meals program. In this role, you'll play a critical part in preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our clients. If you're passionate about food, have excellent knife skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Review recipes and prepare ingredients while maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Execute cold food production in accordance with plating guide specifications and established standards.
- Pay close attention to detail and presentation to ensure high-quality results.
- Place and expedite orders efficiently to meet program service standards.
- Maintain proper food safety requirements and keep a clean workstation.
- Minimum 2 years of culinary or restaurant experience.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle a variety of ingredients.
- Previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role, preferably in a similar setting.
- Must own a complete knife and tool kit.
- Impeccable standards of personal hygiene and ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in reading and following recipes and ability to work in a team environment.
We provide a competitive salary of $18.00/hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, medical, dental, and vision insurance, transit, and FSA.
