Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students in a public school setting, helping them achieve their educational goals by addressing communication and language challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and standardized tests.
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring speech-language services, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals.
  • Provide Direct Therapy: Provide direct therapy to students, utilizing evidence-based practices and adapting to individual needs.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and address communication and language challenges.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary Team Meetings: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the development of comprehensive educational plans and address student needs.
  • Provide Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff and parents on speech-language development and related concerns.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to professional standards.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology, attending professional development opportunities and staying up-to-date with industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current Indiana Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Certification: Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) Communication Disorders licensure, allowing practice in public schools.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not required. Experience developing and implementing IEPs and conducting assessments in a school environment is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, proficiency in conducting assessments and using therapy tools and technology, and excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Working Conditions:
