Job Summary

Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for capturing diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment. You will also be responsible for positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner, and sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues using computerized tomography equipment
• Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
• Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
• Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure patient safety
• Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions
• Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
• Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
• Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required

Requirements

• BLS and ACLS certification
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
• Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Strong technical skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Minimum of two years of current CT Tech experience
• Graduate from a fully accredited CT Tech/Radiology Tech program
• Active unencumbered CT Tech Ohio state license
• One year of Epic experience
• ARRT Certification

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
