Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our manufacturing team at Oscar Associates Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for constructing and installing mechanical components, ensuring high standards of quality and productivity.

• Construct and Install Mechanical Components: Construct switchgear housings from the ground up, utilizing blueprints and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Interpret Blueprints and Technical Specifications: Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to install copper and aluminum conductors using hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Maintain a Safe and Healthy Work Environment: Regularly lift and handle objects weighing 50+ lbs safely and consistently, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve issues, working collaboratively with team members to stay on target and ensure high-quality production.
• Perform Routine Operational Tasks: Perform routine operational tasks for both copper and sheet metal components as required, maintaining accurate production records.
• Document and Report Performance Issues: Document and report all production quality requirements and performance issues, ensuring thorough records of troubleshooting and resolutions.
• Support General Engineering and Electrical Tasks: Support general engineering and electrical tasks as needed, utilizing collaborative data and problem-solving skills.

• Proven Experience: Proven experience in roles such as Electrical Helper, auto mechanic, or industrial mechanic.
• Physical Demands: Ability to safely and consistently lift objects weighing 50+ lbs, carry items over distances, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using tools that require manual dexterity and flexibility, including bending, twisting, squatting, and climbing.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
