Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Neurology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for our Epilepsy Program, you will partner with our team of Epileptologists and APPs to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive care to patients with epilepsy, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and consultation
* Collaborate with our team of Epileptologists and APPs to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
* Perform admissions to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, including admission orders, daily rounding, and discharging patients
* Manage patient communication and message logs for patients with neuromodulation devices, such as vagus nerve stimulators (VNS), responsive neurostimulators (RNS), and deep brain stimulation (DBS)
Requirements:
* Current state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)
* Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
* Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II through V
* Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
* BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
Work Environment:
* Intermountain Medical Center
* Murray, UT
Work Schedule:
* Four 10-hour days a week, with occasional weekend rounding coverage
