Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Technician to join our team at Providence Home Medical Services. As a Patient Service Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering and setting up medical equipment in patients' homes, providing education and training on the use of equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes, ensuring timely and efficient service.

  2. Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on the use of medical equipment, including setup and demonstration.

  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including D.O.T. regulations and OSHA guidelines.

  4. Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered by Providence Home Medical Services.

  5. Interact with patients and customers in a professional and courteous manner, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

  6. Complete necessary paperwork, including patient information and billing documentation.

  7. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and service calls.

  8. Perform emergency roadside repairs and maintain the physical and mechanical condition of company vehicles.

  9. Available for on-call duty, evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current state-issued driver's license and a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required.

  • Good driving record with regard to moving violations and accidents.

  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.

  • Able to lift up to 150 pounds and move equipment safely.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year of delivery experience preferred; DME or Home Health experience preferred.
