Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with hours ranging from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the suitability of specimens for analysis based on established standards.
  • Execute both routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Exhibit the capability to make informed technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls.
  • Deliver precise and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
  • Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control measures.
  • Identify and restock testing supplies as necessary.
  • Assist in specimen processing when required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in clinical laboratory testing with human specimens is essential.
  • Proficiency in chemistry and hematology testing is required.
  • Advanced skills in phlebotomy are necessary.
  • ASCP certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Must successfully pass a standardized color vision assessment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business requirements.
  • This role requires full vaccination against COVID-19, with proof required unless qualifying for medical or religious exemptions.
