In this capacity, you will contribute to our overarching mission at LabCorp: "Enhancing Health, Enriching Lives".
Work Schedule: 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with hours ranging from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the suitability of specimens for analysis based on established standards.
- Execute both routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Exhibit the capability to make informed technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshooting.
- Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls.
- Deliver precise and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
- Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control measures.
- Identify and restock testing supplies as necessary.
- Assist in specimen processing when required.
- Maintain a safe working environment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science is mandatory.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in clinical laboratory testing with human specimens is essential.
- Proficiency in chemistry and hematology testing is required.
- Advanced skills in phlebotomy are necessary.
- ASCP certification is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Must successfully pass a standardized color vision assessment.
- Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business requirements.
- This role requires full vaccination against COVID-19, with proof required unless qualifying for medical or religious exemptions.
