Job Title: Refrigeration Start-up Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Start-up Technician to join our team at TAG Refrigeration. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the start-up and energy optimization of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform evacuations of parallel racks after verifying pressure tests.
  • Perform all EMS wiring and programming for various manufacturers of EMS systems.
  • Conduct full start-ups of new parallel refrigeration systems and individual systems.
  • Lead small projects such as single case and condenser change-outs.
  • Assist with energy optimization projects, including retro-commissioning of supermarkets, EMS upgrades, leak detection upgrades, and gas conversion projects.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge of refrigeration, ice machines, and electrical systems.
  • Expert knowledge of single systems, parallel rack systems, display cases, and walk-ins.
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot commercial and supermarket refrigeration equipment.
  • Expert knowledge of EMS systems in supermarket applications for wiring and programming.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers, management, crew, and team.
  • Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Good driving record.
  • Travel, over-night, and overtime work as needed.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules.
