Job Description

As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at Soliant Education, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the delivery of speech and language therapy services. Your role will involve assisting with assessments, implementing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the SLP in conducting assessments and evaluations of clients' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Implement individualized therapy plans and strategies as directed by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients, including one-on-one and group sessions.
  • Monitor and document clients' progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising SLP.
  • Prepare and organize therapy materials and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or related field required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting is a plus.
