Housekeeper - Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Housekeeper at Masonicare Health Center, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving instructions and assembling necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for designated areas.
  • Cleaning common areas and resident homes, including dusting, washing walls and windows, and vacuuming floors and carpets.
  • Stripping and remaking unoccupied beds, and maintaining equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Operating mechanical vacuums and using stepladders safely.
  • Detecting and reporting defective equipment, faulty operations, or questionable matters to proper supervision.

You will also be responsible for interacting with residents and staff in a respectful and reassuring manner, communicating effectively and tactfully with residents and staff, and attending departmental meetings and in-service education programs.

Qualifications:

  • No experience necessary.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
