Description:

The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness for all kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily opening and closing checklists to ensure all tasks are performed.
  • Keep all storage areas, including dry storage and refrigeration units, clean and organized.
  • Regularly clean back-of-house areas by managing waste disposal and maintaining floor cleanliness.
  • Ensure all kitchenware, including dishes and cookware, are sanitized and ready for use.
  • Handle all kitchen items with care to minimize breakage.
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Follow health and safety standards diligently, reporting any violations immediately.
  • Participate in training new staff members to uphold the company’s service standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read and write.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Must maintain a positive and helpful demeanor at all times.
  • Adhere to sanitation standards set by the company and local regulations.
  • Commitment to punctuality and attendance at required meetings.
  • Must comply with uniform and grooming policies.

Education and Experience:

1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred. A high school diploma is advantageous but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy items (50+ pounds) regularly and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively while maintaining professionalism.
