Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Baker I to join our team at Professional Contract Services Inc. as a Food Production Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of food products in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and mix ingredients to prepare dough and batter for baking.
  • Operate mixing machines, blenders, and other commercial kitchen equipment to prepare food products.
  • Prepare and cook pie fillings, sauces, and other toppings for baked goods.
  • Maintain inventory records and properly measure food amounts to ensure accurate production.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and supervisors.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training in high-volume feeding preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working in the food industry, with baking experience a plus.
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods; prolonged standing up to 90%.
  • Knowledge of safety principles and practices related to cleaning and food preparation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and in high-temperature environments.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access, if required.
