Key Responsibilities:
The primary function of the Respiratory Care Specialist includes:
- Assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
- Delivering respiratory care according to physician directives and established protocols.
- Collaborating in the formulation and execution of patient care strategies.
- Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations as well as professional standards.
- Maintaining effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Providing education to patients and caregivers regarding therapy techniques and objectives.
- Accurately documenting patient information and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Credentialing as a Respiratory Therapist from the NBRC and current CPR certification.
- A minimum of 18 months of experience in respiratory care, preferably in critical care environments.
