Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sentinel Systems Tester to join our team at Canvas Inc. in Hill AFB, UT.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position that requires providing advisory and assistance services to the Air Force. As a Sentinel Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Sentinel Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Sentinel CTF in DT&E activities, including development test and evaluation of AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.
  • Support Sentinel and Minuteman III developmental test efforts to assess performance against stated program requirements.
  • Serve as T&E Focal Point for IPT and Test Working Group Co-Chair.
  • Plan, schedule, and report on all test activities for area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate test plan/report CDRL reviews.
  • Develop and update TEMPs and ITT Charters. Develop and manage PTO agreements for CTF.
  • Coordinate/facilitate integration and communication between Sentinel CTF, SPO, and Prime Contractor.
  • Participate in all T&E phases outlined in the DoD Test and Evaluation guidebook. Coordinate/Ensure Technical Review Board (TRB) and Safety Review Board (SRB) activities are taking place within Sentinel CTF.
  • Follow up on any actions during TRB/SRB's to ensure actions are documented and resolved prior to test readiness review (TRR) and test execution.
  • Document the accomplishment of SRBs, the overall risk assessment, and any associated actions.
  • Ensure appropriate project management controls are established to include oversight test projects are properly closed out.
  • Work with the Operations Lead and SPO Test Managers to ensure appropriate IPT, Prime Contractor, and Mission Thread Leads are included in project completion.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field, with a Master's degree desired. Relevant experience ranges from 3-10 years, and you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks to meet multiple deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. You should also have experience in conflict resolution and directing teams. Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment is required. Additionally, experience working with aerospace vehicle equipment and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) systems would be beneficial.

Benefits
