About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our oncology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and registered nurses in the care of patients with cancer, including administering chemotherapy agents, preparing treatment plans, and conducting patient assessments.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their treatment options and care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Document patient information and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Active Florida LPN license required.
  • Experience in IV therapy in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Prior oncology experience is a plus.
  • 30-hour IV certification course or completion within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire or within 30 days of employment.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
